Apocalyptic, eschatological views (such as Dispensationalist Christian beliefs and Radical Islam) which look for ever-increasing war and destruction are incompatible with God's Kingdom Message of Love's ever-increasing rule and PEACE!
Mixing that error and worldview with politics conflates God's Will with a morbid expectation of ever-increasing evil, death, different brands of "Jihad" and the ultimate destruction of planet Earth...along with an overwhelming majority of its inhabitants. This is very sick and twisted stuff from the Gates (wisdom) of hell (Hades- which literally means "to not see")...which Jesus said would NOT prevail against His Church. It ultimately WON'T! An ignorance of History (especially of the events surrounding 70 A.D. and the writings of Josephus) has lead so many well-meaning, professing Christians to a worldview that is in direct opposition to God's Will. You can't take specific warnings about the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. (along with specific, corresponding instructions) and apply them literally to the present or the future any more than you should be warning people about the imminent threat that dead Roman Emperors are to the world today! Much of what we see in the world today isn't fulfilled, Biblical prophecy, it's just the self-fulfilled "prophecy" of religious mindsets which are in great need of being renewed through His Spirit, His Word, and a good History lesson! Strongholds in the collective mind of the Church are greatly responsible for much of our bad history...which has repeated itself over and over. Nevertheless, the prophet's words still ring true! Isaiah 9:7 "There will be no end to the increase of His government or of PEACE, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this." Ephesians 3:21 "unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." Ecclesiastes 1:4 "One generation goes and another generation comes, But the earth remains forever." Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done, on EARTH as it is in heaven! Blessings! ~Joe

While there's plenty of off-the-wall, Anti-Semitic teaching out there (which I vehemently condemn)... Those who accuse others of teaching "Replacement Theology" are quite often FAR LESS INCLUSIVE, Dispensational, "Gap Theorists" themselves.
The Church has never been excluded from Israel's narrative, nor has the Church's true narrative ever excluded natural Israelites! The Church's roots are distinctly Jewish. One simply cannot come to the proper conclusion on this matter while quoting Romans 11 and ignoring the historical backdrop of 70 AD and the rest of Scripture. Romans 9:1 "I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, 2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed." Galatians 3:16 "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Galatians 3:28,29 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Colossians 3:11 "Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all." Galatians 6:16 "And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God." Ephesians 2:11 "Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." The Gospel Message is one of UNION...not dispensations of exclusion and division. Shalom! ~Joe Friends,
You may not know this, but Jerusalem and her Temple were referred to as "Heaven and Earth" by the Jewish people during and prior to the First Century. An understanding of this, along with a historical understanding of what happened in and around 70 AD, will allow you to read the New Testament through a completely different lens than Dispensationalism has allowed. I submit to you that there are many present "New Heaven and New Earth" realities which have been untapped due to the error of many who have mistaken historical events for imminent or future apocalyptic happenings. The answer to the question, "Who is God's Temple and New Jerusalem now?", will help you to unlock the mystery of "The New Heaven and New Earth". Christ in us is the Hope of Glory! The following verse will also come in handy...when you realize that "this generation" was THAT generation (The Generation of Jesus' original audience). Mt. 24:34 "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place." Additional note: This is NOT "replacement" Theology. It has always INCLUDED both "Jew & Gentile"..."The ONE NEW MAN"! Blessings! ~Joe |
